Leadership Meeting

it was an incredibly productive hour-and-a-half. every sister who holds a calling in relief society was invited to attend and thank you thank you to those of you that did.

the theme: becoming the leaven of our loaves
               the loaf: our relief society
the leaven: all of the sisters in relief society as they
serve in their respective callings (visting teaching *wink wink*)

“the kingdom of heaven is like unto leaven, which a woman took, and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened” - Matthew 13:33

have you ever had unleavened bread? it's not that it's not tasty, it's just flat. kind of dense and chewy. sometimes completely cracker-ish. not exactly your Great Harvest or Mrs. Bairds or LOVE's. you could look at our Relief Society as a scrumptious loaf of unleavened bread just waiting for our little acts of service, our strengths and talents and contributions, our leaven to puff it up. to help it grow into something bigger.

sisters, we invite each and every one of you to be the leaven in your sphere(s) of influence. at church, at work, at home ... help others to be their best by being your best, by serving, by contributing in some small way towards the whole of something better.

we thank you, all of you, for your willingness. for your service. for the blessing that your are to our Relief Society. Sisters, remember, your Father in Heaven needs you to stand in His place - to say and do what He Himself would say and do if He were the one with your responsibilities. Feel empowered with this knowledge! He knows what you are capable of ...

go, and rise to your divine potential!

food, fun and family

A big thanks to all of the sisters who attended the service project and lunch at kakelas for ward conference weekend. Activities like these help us to be united as a Ward Ohana and help us as sisters show our love and fulfill our role and duties as women: to love and nurture, serve and care, to bear one another's burden that they may be light.
